xfce4 Restart or Shutdown goes to slim

Whenever I try to Shutdown or Restart from within xfce all it does is log me out back to slim. I made sure I was in the "power" group and tried switching from launching slim as a daemon to using initab to launch slim. I can shutdown and restart from slim just fine though.

It has to do with changes in hal. See #17 for possible solution in this thread http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=64951.

I had the same issue. The post in the thread above seemed to fix it, and there's a fairly long bug report on the bug tracker

They say that if you play a Win cd backward you hear satanic messages. That's nothing! 'cause if you play it forwards, it installs windows.
