Today i was tinkering with the desktop configuration and suddenly the app-launcher stopped working. I followed this topic https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=285630 and deleted the config file. Now the app-launcher is working again but the system tray is broken instead. Whenever i click on an icon i get these messages in journald.

Ok it seems i've found something on the kde bug tracker https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=485587
[UPDATE]: i post here a possible solution in case another user faces the same issue: log into x ---> switch back to wayland. The fix should persist even after a reboot.
It seems a weird bug on their side indeed.

there is a simple way to solve this problem.
systemctl --user enable plasma-plasmashell
it`s useful for me

Confirmed. Now that Plasma 6.0.5 (along with Gear 24.05 and Qt 6.7.1) has reached Extra the issue is definitely gone for me.
Linux user since 1996. Currently running Arch on an I7 11th gen laptop with root on zfs with zrepl.
