To answer to the link agapito posted:
I haven't undervolted my CPU, CPU's parameter on UEFI are at default with XMP/DOCP enabled for RAM.
if you read my previous message in that same link I said this: I had random reboots in all the Zen 3 processors I have used on my motherboard, using the stock-auto settings. After many hours of testing and calibration using CoreCycler and Curve Optimizer I have not had any in almost 2 years.
]]>So the the first error and post, I had with LUKS you can find here --> https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=293599
In the post you will see i tried a clean install and now i have the following error:
"Device /dev/sdX is not a valid LUKS device."
Even thought its ext4 formatted USB.
Not sure what exactly is needed to help assist me. Please feel free to ask.
I have tried different usbs with different formats and i am getting the same error.
This is a clean install with no test lib only multilib added.
EDIT: The clean install did in fact make the first post situation worse.
EDIT2:
Arch Linux x86_64
Kernel: 6.7.9 Hardened
Bootloader Grub
```
cryptsetup luksAddKey /dev/sdX keyfile-name
```
Responds with error: "Device /dev/sdX is not a valid luks device"
I am going to have to open another post for this error.
Its the same method except i tried both ext4 and ext2 and got the same error.
]]>And don't know whether it's relevant but i have the problem with idle on all wayland WMs except sway(swayidle works as mentioned in first message): In wayfire idle just turn off display and after like 5-10 seconds turn display on again and after never turn it off until i move mouse, in Gnome idle makes display black but doesn't disable backlight at all(so it just displays black rectangle but monitor still turning on)
Did you try swayidle on the other compositors (will probably work with all of them except gnome)?

Do you have th v4l2loopback sources in /usr/local/src? How did you install those?

Removing the local package deleted the rtl88x2bu directory in /usr/src.
There are no sources for v4l2loopback in /usr/local/src. v4l2loopback was installed with a fresh Arch install almost 3+ years earlier so I cannot remember how I installed it.
Regarding the v4l2loopback kernel error many cited installing v4l2loopback post installing the kernel. Unfortunately it did not work for me.

Yes. No doubt about it.

Mar 17 11:14:59 z13 kernel: i2c_hid_acpi i2c-WACF2200:00: device did not ack reset within 1000 ms
This only occurs on 6.8.1. Reloading the i2c_hid_acpi and i2c_hid modules will actually get it functioning again as well, but it does sometimes take a couple of tries. My current line of thinking is some sort of race condition or too short a timeout value in the i2c driver.
However at this point I'm starting to get out of my depth. Unil I got this Z13 a couple of weeks ago I had primarily been a server guy, not really ever having much problem with hardware other than disks. It's my test platform of sorts before I migrate my desktop over to Arch.
I've installed the LTS kernel to get around it for now until I can either spend a bit more time debugging, a fixed kernel gets released or a helpful member of this forum can point me in the right direction.
]]>I am now able to sleep and wake normally!
Can you suspend fine if you don't have all the PreserveVideoMemoryAllocation setup? Because some of us don't use the kernel parameter and yet are unable to suspend (while we could with previous driver versions).

It would be automatically on supported hardware before you installed the nvidia packages. Why would you install the nvidia kernel module when you stated goal is already achieved before you installed it? Life_is_a_two-way_street.

If the linux package was updated to 6.8.1 then there is a mismatch between the package version and the booted version.
Good to know - and I'll look for this in the future if this happens again. I forced a reinstall of linux and linux-zen and rebooted and now we're booted into zen and live on the net. Thank you.
