UCSD Pascal circa 1980
You'll never sync the repos then - those files dates are way out of whack
]]>Oldish box from around 2006-07... Having fun with desktop ffects apparently.

]]>I have no idea why I remember this.
It's the crash screen from the mighty Amiga 500 (and possibly the later models that I couldn't afford...)

RISC OS 3.11 on an Acorn A3010 with a ARM250 32bit an amazing PC for its time ran rings round everything.
F*'ed up really... Desktops are not _that_ dissimilar to this 1987 release... Looks a lot like my xfce4 actually.
]]>My first personal computer, an IBM something-or-another (I'm sitting on my brother's lap). It booted into the BASICA programming language
Years after that, we got our first Windows 3.1 computer. I still remember hearing the sound of the trumpets ("TADA.WAV") the first time it booted.
After that, I got my first laptop it 1999. It was kind of junky, but it ran much better with Mandrake Linux 8.0. It was my first experience with Linux. (Those are minidiscs behind the laptop.)
Then in 2002, I got my beloved Fujitsu Lifebook P2110. Man, I miss that thing so much. Here it is running Slackware Linux 9.1.
Loved the Windoze 3.11 screenshot!
I still use the first wallpaper I ever saw on our very first Windows 3.1 desktop computer (pixels doubled for modern resolutions):
