I was using the kernel's ati driver though in suse; maybe i could try switching back to it. But why was i getting choppy video?]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=28682005-02-26T13:47:07Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=69830#p69830It is a normal behavior.
Kaffeine disables the screensaver because you dont want it to just pop in the middle of the screen when you watch a movie.

After I restart the graphics by exiting and reentering kde, the problem goes away. Anyone had a similar problem? I used hwd -s then using xorg textmode, edited ATI|RV350 AP [Radeon 9600] to ati radeon (generic) because it was too choppy.]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=28682005-02-26T12:25:48Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=69814#p69814
