]]>Sometimes, when I turn off my laptop, it freezes during power-off. I see the usual messages about stopping daemons and other processes, and then when it displays the [Power Off] message (I think that is what it says), it just hangs until I force a power down (by holding down the power button). This is terribly annoying, and I would really like to fix it. I am willing to recompile the kernel, but all my previous attempts have been unbootable (probably because I accedently removed a module I needed). My uname command gives:
