I don't want to add CVS packages to Community.]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=16862005-06-18T13:07:10Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94353#p94353Good point... E17 is supposed to be a light desktop environment, like XFCE, as opposed to a WM with modules. When E17 goes official, there will be a lot more than what's in the AUR...]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=26722005-06-17T21:10:50Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94234#p94234I agree that nickm's repo should be e17-cvs, i was having this issues and ended commenting community first and nickms later, so, i had to dual pacman -Syu.
Also, if the community is to be made official someday, why it has so few parts of E17? are the snapshots at freedesktop.org considered more stable or something?

Problem is, NickM has a really, really annoying habit of removing packages from his DB if they aren't updated to the same version number as all the others.]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=26722005-06-17T19:43:11Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94209#p94209I think I'll end up using yours as nickm's altough worked good on my last installation is just painfully slow. And i noticed some stuff missing from the community one.
Thanks.

Nickm's repo has CVS packages updated daily. Use it if you want to have always the most up-to-date stuff.
My unofficial repo contains CVS packages updated 1 to 3 times a month, and only packages for apps and libs whose code has actually been modified are rebuilt. Use it if you want to update E just from time to time.]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=16862005-06-17T17:05:07Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94170#p94170So... which one to use now? The community one, yours or nickm's? ]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=38482005-06-17T16:29:18Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94162#p94162I was actually going to change the group naming in my unofficial repository (merge efl and e17 into e17-cvs) to prevent conflicts between [community] and it, but I had no intention to rename the e17 group in community. Community packages are meant to be moved to [extra] when stable versions are released, and e17 is the most obvious name for their group. Furthermore, Nickm's packages are rebuilt every day, while I would need to rebuild some just to change the group they belong to.
I think it would be better if Nickm renamed his e17 group to e17-cvs. This way only his UUR and mine will be incompatible, but I doubt anyone would use both the repos.]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=16862005-06-17T14:07:41Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94142#p94142Could you please rename the e17 group in the Community repo to something like e17-stable or e17-snapshot? The incompatible between the Community repo and your and Nickm's repos is rather annoying.]]>https://bbs.archlinux.org/profile.php?id=26722005-06-17T01:04:35Zhttps://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=94044#p94044
