As a workaround, I have put these two lines in my /etc/rc.local to set the alarm time 1 year ahead:
sudo sh -c "echo 0 > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm"
sudo sh -c "echo `date '+%s' -d '+ 1 year'` > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm"
For a moment, I thought it maybe a change in voltage that triggers the booting... however, it does that even just on battery (with no AC connection). That's a real mystery.
If anyone experience that, please post it here so that I know.
