Reading the man page to make sure I understood its operation before starting in, I decided to run it in all cases with options -bci. The man page speaks of -i as an "install/upgrade" process which follows a successful build. Am I correct in assuming that by "install/upgrade" the activity described here is identical to that performed by the --upgrade option in pacman, that is to say -i first removes the existing package and then installs the freshly built one in its place? Am I on target here?
