What graphics solution are you using? LCD or CRT monitor? If CRT, do you get a message like "signal out of range" or similar? Have you tried to disable KMS modesetting? The X.Org log might be useful...
The video card is an old nvidia geforce mx400 connected to my LCD monitor via VGA. I am not getting any messages but will check the x.org log.
Read up on KMS...
Will do.
]]>I just finished following the beginner's guide to installing Arch. I thought everything when great until I got a blank screen after taking out the install CD and rebooting. To be more specific, I get to the syslinux graphical boot menu, press enter to boot into Arch Linux, watch various [OK] events scroll up the screen and then... nothing. No log in prompt, no terminal, just a back lit black screen.
Any tips?
Thanks!
