I followed the advice here to set all the "Handle..." settings to "ignore" and now at least xfce4-power-manager has control over the lid closing action again.
Testing now to see whether the problem with automatic suspend is gone too.
]]>does that help?

]]>I have a machine running gdm and xfce. Up until now, I configured when to suspend, blank screen etc. via xfce4-power-manager.
Automatic suspend was totally disabled as I use this machine as a server.
After switching to systemd, the machine always suspends after some idle minutes. This is of course unacceptable for server use. xfce4-power-manager settings are not respected anymore. Any ideas?
I tried changing settings with $ gsettings set gsettings set org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.power {setting} but that isn't respected either (or I don't understand gsettings).
