Actually, I'm still confused about this because I'm not sure how I would have ended up with that on my Fedora machine. Or any Linux machine, in fact. I did use it in OS X but I don't fully understand how I can have transferred it and I don't remember installing it on any machine running Linux.
Actually, I have some other extensions which I don't remember installing for Linux although I definitely used them in OS X. Most are disabled but some are not...

@WonderWoofy,
There is something but I'm still trying to figure out what. I have to be logged into my google account for the problem to occur but I'm not sure what other conditions might be necessary. I can reproduce it even with one tab open (I checked for google tabs through every firefox window I'm using and closed them all then opened a new one). If I'm logged into my account, google search (for example) shows the issue.
It *may* be linked with google docs which I recently started using but I'm far from sure about this.
]]>I can reproduce it with the main search page in other languages (UK English, US English) and with search results pages and with some other google pages but not all.
The problem is not specific to one machine. I can reproduce it on a Fedora box running a Fedora build of firefox (theirs works in Welsh for some reason though Arch's doesn't).
Clearing cache and cookies doesn't solve the problem except that it logs me out of my account so the problem only manifests later.
