And I'll keep searching, I just think there should be a way to keep a window on top of a video in fullscreen.
]]>Otherwise I don't know of an easy way to do what you're doing. There's this program called Devil's Pie but as far as I can find, it is mainly meant to work with metacity (and therefore gnome). So that MIGHT be worth looking into. https://www.archlinux.org/packages/?q=devilspie

]]>And to do what I want with MPlayer, I found this thread: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=152575 with this command
mplayer /dev/zero -demuxer rawvideo -rawvideo w=1024:h=128:format=bgra -subfont-autoscale 2 -sub example.srt
but I also can't get it to show in fullscreen.

]]>I would look for a way to do that. I don't know if that will work in your case, mind you, since I don't know what WM you are using.
]]>That's shouldn't happen. Does anyone know a way to fix that? I want to see the subtitles with the video in fullscreen and I haven't been able to find an answer.
Any suggestion would be appreciated!
