Turns out the dhcp release time was expiered but for some odd reason it didnt cut off the active connections. So Comp A worked Comp B couldnt grab a new ip. I renewed dhcp on the router and all is well.

but when i network restart it cant seem to grab an address and bootpc (dhcpcd) doesnt seem to start up. Yes i've installed dhcpcd package.

my dhcp sever is a linksys router and im 100% sure its not down.
eth0 does work with a static ip however. But when i use a static ip nothing forwarded (via linksys) from my external ip gets through. When using a gateway of 192.168.1.1 i get the error SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable.
Can anyone give me some insite on my networking woes?
