Painless, I tried with 1 as value for network.http.sendRefererHeader, same result.
]]>network.http.sendRefererHeader = 1
open about:support in Firefox and post the "Important Modified Preferences" here
What about trying that?
]]>I try to follow the rules and avoid to spoil the forum. As I didn't know how to react to a same, but solved thread, I went to the the code of conduct
If a thread is marked as [SOLVED], do not reply stating the equivalent of "I am having a similar issue.."; start a new thread and link to the [SOLVED] thread, if relevant.
As for the title, I did modify it to make it match the Painless one, and added an "Another" to distinguish it. I may re-edit and give a very different title if prefered.
About the last year post, indeed it seems I made the mistake to let in this situation. The solution didn't work and I could not come back to this forum, and did not for a year. After, I admit forgot about the thread. I wouldn't have miss to mark it solved if it was, as I try to do in such case.
]]>EDIT: I see the solution that helped in that other thread did not work for you. So it is ambiguous whether continuing on that thread or starting this new one is the best approach. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and leave this thread open.
But note that creating several threads with the exact same title will just put every moderator into high gear deleting closing every one of your threads with little review as I did here - only upon closer inspection did I see that maybe there was a reason for one of these duplicates (not two).
Then of course yet further inspection revealed that you opened a yet another thread on this exact same issue last year and just abandonded it. Was this working in the interm? Did you find a solution that worked for a bit but now stopped? Or are you just mindlessly spamming our forums?
]]>This is the exact same issue than Painless on this thread.
I can't post messages on Arch Forums with Firefox. NoScript installed along other anti-trackers.
I already encountered the issue a couple of time before, but was randomly solved though.
Can post with chromium.
The philo's suggestions are already set up:
network.http.sendRefererHeader= 2
dom.storage.enabled= true
and this one was already turned to 0
network.http.referer.trimmingPolicy = 2
(Original message)
Hi,
When posting with Firefox (latest and previous ones versions), I encounter sometimes (not always) the following message. I tried with addon disabled, but it occurs anyway.
Just to mention I try to turn off trackers, scripts and so on. Perhaps too much?
I can post with Chromium however.
Bad HTTP_REFERER. You were referred to this page from an unauthorized source.
If the problem persists please make sure that 'Base URL' is correctly set in Admin/Options and that you are visiting the forum by navigating to that URL.
More information regarding the referrer check can be found in the FluxBB documentation.
I don't really get where to check this 'Base URL'.
