It looks like somebody else had the same Idea with mixxx instead of ardour:

Be careful though, some of the sections on these pages are marked out of date.
]]>I have a midi via USB keyboard, this works fine with Ardour in AVlinux, but I can't run AVlinux from an USB stick with persistent storage, and I like arch better than ubuntu/debian.
So I would like to create a bootable stick that can do knoppix-style detection of the hardware, boot into a graphical desktop, and has the tweaks needed for low-latency audio. My end goal is to write a page in the wiki that describes this procedure.
I have found the following information:
http://valleycat.org/foo/arch-usb.html?i=1 ArchLinux USB
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/In … _a_USB_key
https://www.linuxmusicians.com/viewtopi … 19&t=10837 Lowlatency on ArchBang
My questions:
Has this already been done?
Am I going in the correct direction?
What should the resulting wiki page be called?
Cheers,
Cedric
