]]>I have not tried to connect with WPA yet, since I do not know how that works exactly. I tried through the conf.d/wireless to enable WPA and pass the same passphrase to there, but that didnt work either.
I think there should be a wiki about this: "how to connect to a wireless network if you only have a running windows PC on that network".

]]>I have a problem. When I am at home, I have a wireless internet connection which works without any problem. Now I am abroad, and I cannot get it to work for some reason. This is the case:
iwlist scan gives two networks: NIASD on channel 6 and NIASD on channel 1. It works with static IPs (not dhcp). the router is 192.168.123.101. I get to the point where I can ping my own IP, but I cannot ping the router for some reason. output of ifconfig and iwconfig seem ok as well...
Any ideas. Unfortunately I cannot post any output, because this is not my computer.
