Running this downgrades to the 4.3 version of ffmpeg and a version of srt supported by it.
sudo pacman -U \ https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/s/srt/srt-1.4.2-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst \ https://archive.archlinux.org/packages/f/ffmpeg/ffmpeg-2%3A4.3.2-6-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst
I can't downgrade ffmpeg (I use the application "downgrade") because there are dependences:
attenzione: installazione in corso di una versione meno recente del pacchetto ffmpeg (2:5.0-5 => 2:4.3.2-6)
risoluzione delle dipendenze in corso...
attenzione: impossibile risolvere "libvpx.so=6-64", una dipendenza di "ffmpeg"
attenzione: impossibile risolvere "libx264.so=161-64", una dipendenza di "ffmpeg"
For the moment the only way to use audacity is the official appimage and anyway it doesn't work audio playback
]]>sudo pacman -U \

I'd try downgrading ffmpeg or Audacity flatpak.
]]>Faced the same problem. Tried audacity from the Community repository, 3.0.2 from aur, and also built myself.
No luck huh? Please let me know if you find a fix.
]]>FFmpeg : ERROR - encoding frame failed
FFmpeg : ERROR - Can't encode audio frame.
I have installed ffmpeg and Edit->Preferences->Libraries->FFmpeg Library->Locate shows,
Audacity has automatically detected valid FFmpeg libraries
Any idea what's wrong?
Audacity version - 3.0.2(AUR)
ffmpeg version - 4.4
