]]>You might try setting squid to log access, and tailing the access and error logs to see what kind of traffic you are seeing....that is..if this issue is consistent and reproducable.

Some domains which I have received errors for, but after (sometimes multiple) refreshes resolved are:
bbs.archlinux.org www.linuxjunkies.org www.swelltech.com
Those are just a few.
I've just done basic squid configuration, nothing to do with timeout or anything. I've attached my squid.conf.
My resolv.conf just has the router (which gets the dnses from my isp) as my nameserver.
Any ideas on how this could be fixed?
