Yep me too I ran from Gentoo (after 5 years) to Arch because I didn't want to build every package - I just build package when I want. OK I can wait but not 2 weeks...
Heh, well that's a good occasion for building it this time then...
You don't do this for every package, only for the ones you really care about, and where you can't wait long enough for the latest & greatest version to be packaged.
I hope that's not the case for every packages, otherwise you're just mad
If you are able to run Arch, you should be able to build a package, no? . Updated buildscripts were posted above, just run them and install the resulting packages.
Hmm... Maybe none of the packages should be updated.... We could just build them all ourselves.... Oh wait, that's why I went from Gentoo to Arch.
Seriously though....... 2 weeks?!?!?!
]]>B,
You have to build first PKGBUILD and install it: pacman -U amarok*
then you have to build second PKGBUILD and install it the same wayWhat's not working for you?
Dude... I know that .
The problem was libtunepimp, apparently, while amarok - strangely enough - gave me the error... From the minute I rebuilt libtunepimp, everything worked just fine .
Well, I guess that's what you get when you go around replacing official packages with your own .
