]]>My goal is to update the FreePBX AUR so we have a FreePBX installation to go with our Asterisk AUR. Is anyone interesting in collaborating / sharing notes on getting the latest version of FreePBX working on Arch.

But still without success...
]]>From what I can tell it seems to want a large # of configuration changes. And it wants them before it will install. As such it seems that the general consensus is that it's best to modify the FreePBX installer to no longer have any of it's checks. Then upon install the freepbx installer would need to install configuration files for apache, mysql, and php. The old config files would be backed up by the installer.
So the general outline:
1. Heavily modify the FreePBX install script so that it makes no checks. Keep track of each change it wanted to see though. The pkgbuild will need the modified install script as well as the preconfigured copies of the config files for mysql, php, and apache. Also, the package would need to setup a user for freepbx upon install
2. The package would need an auxillary install file that puts the modified config files in place (backing up what used to be there) and sets up the user
I'll try to get a bit more specific later but that's the general outline. It isn't as straightforward as most packages.
