I really did like Slackware but feel that Arch has more going for it right now. I enjoy that Arch is up-to-date with the latest packages and find myself impressed that the system is quite stable regardless. I can't remember the last time I had an issue that was show stopping on Arch. Plus, unlike Slackware we have a much more active user community. These forums are great fun to hang around even if you don't have an issue to resolve.

Long live the church of the subgenius!!
*pulls out his 'old timey' looking pipe*
anyone know how patrick is doing?

That's the latest info though, and you've probably already seen it.
Can slack survive without him?
Hopefully we won't need to worry about that, at least as a result of this particular ordeal. However, should the worst happen, whether Slack continues, (which it probably will), or not, there is a certain Slackware 'spirit' that will always live on in every extremely intelligent and almost, (or totally), insane geek, hacker, developer, and/or sysadmin in existance.

and the only reason i stoped using it was becouse some guy told me arch was just like slackware, but then with integrated swaret/slapt-get, yet even beter then that.
well he wasn't telling the truth, but since i'm lazy i din't feel like reverting back to slackware. (wel atleast for one of my pc's. the others are still all slack 9.1)
why slack, you might ask?
well it's simple, it's clear, it's geek friendly, and it's a breeze to maintain.

]]>But now, I'm feeling really negative. I'm tempted to set it to another quote I like: "I'm sure glad you aren't people, cause I *hate* people!"
I'm getting into my antisocial craze again... don't worry, soon I won't even want to come here anymore at all and you won't have to put up with me.

]]>I feel negative!
So "I won't deny that there aren't good people out there" really did mean "I will confirm that there aren't good people out there" ;-). How offending :-)
Anyway.... Party Time!

I feel negative!
But I changed it. I don't want to offend anybody, at least, not too much.
