May I ask what the 'glx' is for?
from what I can gather, it's some sort of opengl driver for Xwindow, or something like that.
]]>well. It was simple. I simply had to uncomment the option "glx" in my xorg.conf file and now it all works. I'm pretty sure I remember the nvidia installer saying it should be commented out. I have video! WHEEE!
]]>I don't think it's a codec or player issue.. did anybody encounter this? I remember encountering it once in debian but I don't remember how I fixed it - I think newer packages fixed it, unless I did something else.
Any ideas, or ways to look for the problem, etc?
