You guys are great. Thanks for taking the time to help people (like me) out in these forums!

.:[ ls -l cdrecord
-rws--x--x 1 root root 324188 Sep 14 22:13 cdrecord
maybe that helps. this is how the permissions on my cdrecord look like
]]>When I run k3b as user, I get the following error:
cdrecord does not run with root privileges
It is highly recommended to configure cdrecord to run with root privileges. Only then cdrecord runs with high priority which increases the overall stability of the burning process. Apart from that it allows changing the size of the used burning buffer. A lot of user problems could be solved this way. This is also true when using SuSE's resmgr.
Solution: Use K3bSetup to solve this problem.
When I run k3bsetup, I get the following error:
./k3bsetup: line 20: kdesu: command not found
Pacman doesn't seem to be able to install just kdesu, so what's the minimum I need to install to get this? Kinda like to get ktouch I need kdeedu. Or, how do I take care of what k3bsetup would take care of by myself?
Thanks in advance to those that have been putting up with my stupid questions
