Android USB tether with TooFishes EeePC Kernel

Hey, my netbook doesn't seem to recognize my Moto Droid (running jRummy's Kangerade 1.0) when I do USB tether.  It works under Windows 7, but not here, any suggestions?

Thanks in advanced.

Well, not really anything, I looked at the Android user guide and it said it should work, so I don't know what to try.  I only have linux on my netbook, and still figuring it out.  I will try anything, if you can point me in the direction to try it.

Android USB tethering works me:

1. Plug it in, wait a moment for the device node usb0 to be added
2. ifconfig -a should now list 'usb0'
3. run ifconfig usb0 up, then dhcpcd usb0 - done

Okay, so, it works under the stock kernel and not under the Toofishes EeePC kernel, is there something missing in the Toofishes kernel that I would need?
