KDE set desktop icon text length

I'm having a problem with program shortcuts on my KDE desktop. KDE doesn't show the complete text of the icon. I've attached a screenshot to clarify, it basically comes down to this:
"MP3 Jukebox" show as "Mp3 Ju..."
"Windows 7" show as "Window..."

Can I force KDE to show the complete name?

is the complete name shown if you hover it?

in dolphin you can setup how filenames are shown (1 line, two lines and so on) and in case that there exists no Desktop in KDE, just a folderview you have to setup your desktop like every folder.
