[SOLVED] Is there an Interactive Boot Mode?

Is there a way to boot ARCH that requires a keypress before each new module is loaded?

I'm seeing an error related to my acpi-eeepc-generic module, but it scrolls by before I can read the entire error.  I can't seem to locate it in any of the log files... Is there no boot.log in ARCH?

logs are in /var/log/

I think, you find that in dmesg.log or Xorg.0.log(.old)

kernel.log may be worth a look too.

@ ctrl
The names are a bit different: Xorg.0.log, Xorg.1.log etc.

Re: [SOLVED] Is there an Interactive Boot Mode?

@toad:  Thanks, but that didn't work. The error is occuring before the screen switches to the frame buffer.

I've booted a few more time trying to catch the message. I've found it occurs after:

Triggering UDev events
Loading Modules
(error message)

@ ctrl & karol:  I've checked those logs and I can't see any refernece to this error.

You can try hitting the Scroll Lock key if you have one - it should stop the text from "scrolling away".

Thanks karol that works (if I'm fast enough).

I'll post a new thread in regard to the error message.

Thank you, I forgot the '.0.'.
But I really have those 2 logs and no Xorg.1.log...

Probably because you have a fresh install. logrotate will move Xorg.0.log to Xorg.1.log, just like it does kernel.log -> kernel.log.1 etc.

Yes, that's right. Thanks for information.
