Epson Printer binary execute

Hello, I'm having a problem with my Epson printer driver. Whenever I try to print a test page I get a CUPS error saying that it failed. When I run the executable in the terminal, I get

./epson_inkjet_printer_filter: ./epson_inkjet_printer_filter: cannot execute binary file

Does anyone know the solution to this? It works on Ubuntu and I was doing so well on Arch (about a year) until I bought a printer. God I hate printers.......
It is a network printer
Modelname is Epson workforce 520 and I'm using the package from the openprinting site (or whatever it linked to)
Connection isn't a problem, I can even print from an Ubuntu VM, I just don't think that I have the right binary libraries or something installed. I feel so dumb....

Re: Epson Printer binary execute

You need recompile the filter yourself. You cannot use the binary file from deb/rpm package.
Try the package for it: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=42411

Re: Epson Printer binary execute

Thanks for the reply! I figured I needed to recompile it, I was just too impatient to look for the source. Thanks to you, I will maybe move my laptop to Arch.
