/etc/pacman.d/mirrorlist
#mirror used during installation
Server = http://mirror.rit.edu/archlinux/$repo/os/i686
Thats ok and the way it should be
my question is down the very bottom of the nano file under the U.S.commented entries is this
#Server =http://mirror.rit.edu/archlinux/$repo/os/$arch
do I need to uncomment this line to get updates?
The only line uncommented in the whole list is the first one that was used for install.
I have ran pacman -Syyu and all updates were downloaded and installed.
then I downloaded and installed curl but I can't locate curlpaste -h message curlpaste: command not found

No, you won't have to uncomment the second one since you already have the first one at the top. Curlpaste is a separate package, so you will need to install that specifically.

You can have as many mirrors in your mirrorlist, as you want. The order in which they get used (uncommented ones only), is from top to bottom.
So, if mirror1 gives problem, then mirror2 will be tried and so on.
