[SOLVED] Why is my wireless card sometimes disabled

Hello,

This is my first post. I have a Broadcom Corporation Device 4727 (rev 01) wireless card (that's the result I get from lspci | grep Network

According to http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bro … hese_cards

My driver is listed there and I have to install from the AUR broadcom-wl

That is done big_smile

And the module section of my rc.conf looks like: MODULES=(lib80211_crypt_tkip wl !b43 !ssb ...

AND TADA big_smile, my wireless card is now working "part time"

The times when its disabled at boot, I can't even enable it

What can I do?

Check your boot log (dmesg) for pointers when that happens.

Re: [SOLVED] Why is my wireless card sometimes disabled

I notice that it's showing up as eth1 in your dmesg log. Are you expecting it to be eth1 or eth0? There's a troubleshooting section on the Wiki that covers what to do when the interfaces are swapping names on boot.
