[Solved (kind of)] Rewriting a partion table on a ntfs drive

So, i searched a bit on the board and did'nt find any valuable answer to my problem.

I have this 320gb external drive. I was resizing a partition in gparted when i accidentaly told it to create a new partition table. The disk now has none. i know my data is still on the disk, so how would i go about recreating a new partition table to acess my data ? (It was a GPT partition table)

Regards.

Edit: I may add that i checked using grep that my files were still there. there's just something fucked up about the partition table i guess. data ain't erased. x(

Maybe testdisk can help you.

I think we have a case of false advertising ;-) http://gparted.sourceforge.net/screens/ … _8_big.png
