I have an integrated HD4200. I am using the xf86-video-ati (radeon) drivers, and followed the steps on the wiki. KDE compositing with opengl.
If I have KMS enabled, when I do 'Present Windows" in KDE, some of the windows are missing, some are missing the kwin window bar, and like firefox is upside down. And when minimizing a window or opening application launcher, the focused window (say firefox) flickers, and you see the windows behind it for a second.
If I disable KMS, "Present Windows" works perfect and opening the application launcher, but xorg crashes when minimizing windows.
I am not sure what to do exactly.

Radeon drivers? Be more specifc. If you mean radeonhd, that doesn't support KMS. Also, development has been paused, so you should use xf86-video-ati instead.
