Unable to update aur packages

I'm using yaourt to install packages and keep my system up to date. Whenever I run $yaourt -Syu I can update packages from core, extra and community but never aur. Is something wrongly configured?

Any help would be much appreciated.

yaourt -Syu --aur is what you're looking for.
