[Solved] xf86-video-r128 driver and ATI Rage Mobility

I can't seem to get the xf86-video-r128 driver to work in Xorg. I have an ATI Rage Mobilty adapter in my laptop.

I've seached this forum for answers, here's what I've tried:

pacman -R xf86-video-vesa
pacman -S xf86-video-r128

Xorg -configure
cp /root/xorg.conf.new /etc/X11/xorg.conf

When I reboot and try to startx I get the error msg of no modules fouund, no screens, can't find X-server. similar to this post https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=59981

Currently running VESA. Any ideas?

Regards,
Robert

Try xf86-video-mach64.
It claims to support "3D Rage Mobility (including the -M and -P variants)."
