Virtualbox Headaches...

I am new to Linux, and am trying to set up Arch as a guest in virtualbox but am having some major headaches getting xorg set up to work properly.

I am using virtualbox 3.2.10

What I have done. (Sorry about the pics, can't copy & paste.)

Fresh install, everything working great.
Installed the virtualbox-ose-additions package with pacman.

Added the vboxguest, vboxsf and vboxvideo modules to rc.conf

created a .xinitrc file and added

/usr/bin/VBoxClient-all

created my 10-monitor.conf

PS I noticed that I made the typo with 1024x168 I have fixed that, same issues.

and I get this error when I try to start x

arch.png

If I disable AIGX (I would prefer to not have to do this) in xorg.conf I am left with this error.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: Virtualbox Headaches...

Have you tried running Xorg --configure then copying the generated config file to /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/ as 10-monitor.conf?

Sex is not the answer.

Sex is the question, and Yes is the answer.

Re: Virtualbox Headaches...

you might want to load the modules.

Give what you have. To someone, it may be better than you dare to think.
