[Solved] KDE 4.5.2: segmentation fault on EVERY application

Hi,
I'm on a fully updated Arch 64b/KDE 4.5.2.
Every applications, when closing, or performing an action, KNotify pops in with an error like, "Executable: knotify4 PID: 9521 Signal: 11 (Segmentation fault)".
Digikam won't even start, just post KNotify with a similar error.
Actually, thus happened also with KDE 4.5.1, but I hoped it will be solved with the newer version.
Well, it did not.

Please advise!

Do you have ~/.asoundrc? If yes, rename / remove it and try it again (after alsa restart or reboot).

I do NOT have ~/.asoundrc.
Any more ideas?

If you updated really recently, try to delete kde-linked files in /tmp.
Can you test with another user (with a fresh configuration)?

Solved,
It has been a pulse audio issue -  solved by installing phonon-xine.
