Today my Virtualbox stopped running. when I start it I get no results. I tried to re-install ( using binary from Virtualbox which has always worked without any problems) and this error appeared during the process:
Python found: python, installing bindings...
File "/usr/lib/python3.1/site-packages/vboxapi/__init__.py", line 174
except AttributeError,e:
^
SyntaxError: invalid syntax
Where do I start to repair this problem?
Thanks

Apparently the update of glibc from 2.12.1-2 to 2.12.1-3 ( a recent vulnerability fix ) stops Virtualbox from running.
I downgraded back to 2.12.1-2 and all is working again.

Or you could just rebuild the vbox modules with the new glibc

I did try rebuilding with same results. rc.vboxdrv setup resulted in the same thing.

If you are using this package from AUR http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=9753 then a fix is available in 3.2.10-2.
Oracle have released a point upgrade 66523 -> 66896 to address this.
