Its hard for me to understand your question. What do you exactly mean?
BTW, it depends on what version you want. If you want to build with custom options, install from AUR and the edit PKGBUILD. Packages from AUR are compiled from source on your machine. And the one from official repository are precompiled binaries.

some time, the package in AUR is newer than the one in the main repo. I don't think there's any problem from installing either one
