texlipse + evince + synctex

Know anybody how to configure the Synctex with Texlipse + Evince?
Now, the evince has synctex support.

I using texlipse 1.4.1-1, texlive-bin 2010.1-4 and evince 2.32.0-5.

Thanks.

Re: texlipse + evince + synctex

Ever since I saw that evince supposedly got synctex support in the last update, I've been searching for information about how to make use of it, but so far mostly in vain. I do know that it uses dbus for interaction with the editor. (I don't know enough about Eclipse to know how or whether it handles dbus, though.)

Re: texlipse + evince + synctex

Eclipse + Dbus is big problem =/
I found these solutions using Vim
1 - http://tex.stackexchange.com/questions/ … nder-linux
2 - http://mactex-wiki.tug.org/wiki/index.php?title=SyncTeX
but a I don't test yet.
Thanks

Re: texlipse + evince + synctex

Maybe using python and pydbus on vim, it will work.
http://code.google.com/p/anjuta-gvim/so … svn38&r=38

The evince send this kind of message:
signal sender=:1.154 -> dest=(null destination) serial=60 path=/org/gnome/evince/Window/0; interface=org.gnome.evince.Window; member=SyncSource
   string "aproximados/lr.tex"
   struct {
      int32 47
      int32 -1
   }

When I have free time I will study about it more

Well, as you can see, I wrote that answer, and it has mostly to do with Okular rather than evince. I didn't have much to say about evince there, other than to note that it's getting support.

That's for mac, and all the solutions involve the mac-only Skim.

I thought you were set on eclipse and evince. If you're willing to consider other PDF viewers and other editors, then there are a lot more options. SyncTeX between Kile and Okular works out of the box. The built in viewers for TeXworks and now Texmaker have synctex support. Setting things up with Okular and any number of editors -- most likely eclipse included -- usually isn't too hard. But it would be good to settle on what you want.
