Hi guys,
how can I configure the number of mount checks of my hard disc that are done after 36 mounts each time at the boot time? It gets annoying. Sometimes I want to do some presentation stuff and boot my pc. It starts checking the disk. I know that I can skip that by pressing escape. But it just does not give any good feeling. I want to somehow manage this.
And one more thing: what does the statement "0.3% noncontiguous blocks"? Is it something related to disc fragmentation? Is it bad?
I would be grateful if someone could give me detailed information on this.

tune2fs lets you manage those filesystem check settings.
"0.3% noncontiguous blocks" is a really low figure, it's OK, nothing to be afraid of http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p= … ostcount=2
