Gnome Volume Control

I've successfully gotten HDMI audio to work with my monitor speakers. and I can control the volume level if I open the Volume Control Center and move the PCM bars. However, the volume applet does not seem to affect the volume, I assume because it's attached to a different channel? Does anyone know how to remap the applet volume control?

Re: Gnome Volume Control

Use the pulseaudio applet instead, probably you're using that (the standard gnome volume control in Arch is not pulse-aware).
