Songbird

Hey Archies,

I really really hate being this typical n00b asking the same questions over and over again but I'm by now so annoyed I'll just have to get over it.

Could someone give me a link to the page that instructs me how to install tar.gz files with pacman? I'm trying to install an AUR songbird.tar.gz file and for the life of me I don't know how to do it and no site I find tells me anything useful.

PLEASE help me out T_T

Re: Songbird

Hey,

@ Allan: Thanks for nothing. I understand the response but it doesn't help anyone.
@ ferda: Thank you so much for the swift reply, I couldn't find that, this should rid me of pactroubles for the foreseeable future.
@tomk: That's sad to read sad, thanks for bringing me up to speed. I'm going to use it anyway and hope that it'll remain usable for a long while.

Matter resolved.

Just because its the newbie corner does not mean you can or should be ignoring the resources available. You must have gotten the tar.gz from the AUR, and neglecting to search about the AUR either in google or the wiki is really quite lazy.
