Hello Folks,
I've just installed a fresh new Arch Linux on my computer and compiled Enlightenment E17 as my desktop environment by myself.
Everything is fine, except that my Applications menu of E17 is empty.
Here, I read that there is a way to copy an existing xdg-menu file from another Desktop environment into Enlightenment.
But I don't have another one - so no way to get this menu file.
Is there any possibility to create it, so that my E17's Application menu is filled?
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks!

I think you want to use menumaker:
http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=10894
It creates a menu for some different windowmanagers/DEs:
Deskmenu
BlackBox
FluxBox
IceWM
PekWM
OpenBox3 | OpenBox
Xfce | Xfce4
WMaker | WindowMaker

Installing gnome-menus worked for me.

all you needed was:
# sudo pacman -S archlinux-xdg-menu
# sudo ln -s arch-applications.menu /etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu
and it will Just Work. if anything you'd only need to reload e17 (Menu -> Enlightenment -> Restart).

edit: oh and you might want to check out the `archlinux-menus` package; it puts links to all the Arch stuff (forums/AUR/etc.) in your menu.
btw, the info above is here: http://wiki.enlightenment.org/index.php … #Archlinux :though that site is technically deprecated.
