[solved] aur package

i really love the fact that jasonwryan closed the post saying "At the top of the post he links to his AUR package: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=32209" when i said i don't know how arch works but can someone actually take the time to tell me where that aur package is and how i can install it?
i may just be stupid but i don't see anything usefull there, i've been to that link before posting

Re: [solved] aur package

You want to install the package "conkyemail-bzr"? Just install it like you would any other package in the AUR.

If you need help with the AUR, please see the wiki entry: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/AUR

Also, please don't show disrespect to the forum moderators.

i didn't mean to be rude or anything but he was being a jerk to me
whats the point of having a forum if you're just going to be like "omfg! this answer was answered a thousand times!!" i don't get that, but whatever, be that way
thank you for your answers i got it working eventually

Re: [solved] aur package

I closed you post because it is exactly the type of post that we discourage on these boards: it showed no evidence of you having looked into the "problem" yourself, rather you just showed up here expecting someone to hold your hand. We don't work that way.

If you read the Forum Etiquette you will see that you are expected to do your own research before posting.

So now we have two pointless threads - neither of which would have been necessary had you bothered to do a little work yourself.

Should you decide to continue to use Arch, I suggest you familiarize yourself with the Arch Way and stop complaining about the fact that we expect people to help themselves, rather than being help vampires.
