Thunar Automounting

After trying on and off for a few months, my arch install finally worked!  I've very happy with the speed of the system.  Everything seems so much more responsive!  However, I have one problem that I can't seem to fix.  I am running i686, 2.6.36-ARCH with openbox and thunar.  After looking through several wiki pages, I cannot get thunar to
1. mount my external hard drive or usb drive
2. recognize my windows ntfs drive (sda2)
Can someone please help?  I'd greatly appreciate it!  big_smile

Re: Thunar Automounting

If it sees the drives but refuses to mount them make sure that you are using dbus (try running it with dbus-launch thunar).
If thunar does not even see the drives, make sure that you have thunar-volman installed.

Re: Thunar Automounting

it sees them, and i am running dbus as a daemon.  I also tried running dbus-launch thunar, and I get the same error:

Rejected send message, 1 matched rules;
type="method_call", sender=":1.20" (uid=1000 pid=2977 comm="exo-mount)
interface="org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume"
member="Mount" error name="(unset)" requested_reply=0
destination="org.freedesktop.Hal" (uid=0 pid=1628 comm="/usr/sbin/hald)).

Could you tell me how I could fix this?
