Help from a Newbie

I installed archlinux x86 && x86_64 with the newest kde. But i find it hard to reboot or shutdown by GUI wt i installed is all kdebase without the keditbookmark by pacman. Is any body can tell me wt to do to use arch without troubles. Thanks very much! Im looking forward 4 reply.

ps: i can reboot from tty using reboot under superuser.

Check out the beginner's guide and the KDE section of the wiki, at least.

Longer answer: You've obviously not done much research, you don't even seem to know what exactly you installed, nor what they're used for. More research is a must if you want to use Arch without feeling suicidal.

How do you start KDE?

IIRC you should have

exec ck-launch-session startkde

in your ~/.xinitrc.
