Configuring X in Arch in Virtualbox.

Hi.
First post here. I thought of installing Arch in a Virtualbox to learn before falling into any pitfall.

So, I was following the beginners guide and I succeded upto "Configuring Xorg in virtualbox".....

This link

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Be … _Install_X

says to skip steps A ,B, and see C steps...and to follow the link given there which is this:

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Vi … as_a_guest

But, the steps seem vague to me there as the first one:

1. "To install guest additions".. What does that mean?

2. "There is a new Version of guest addition available here" ....But the link doesn't work.

I have installed the minimum and can boot succesfully. Any help configuring xorg?

Re: Configuring X in Arch in Virtualbox.

Get Arch set up under virtualbox first

You can install additions via pacman but you need to read this first

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Vi … _Additions

Xorg read this

https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg

Then post again if it still does not work

I got the same issue
Rising error: "mount can't find /media/cdrom in /etc/fstab or /etc/mtab"
I have already selected "Install Guest Additions" but it still happened.
