System clock

I spent the last four months living in a different time zone, and just added that to my Gnome clock timezones area; when I returned, I deleted the extra time zone. My clock looks right to me; the proper time zone is the only one present, and the time it lists is correct. But, I can't scrobble to Last.fm through Rhythmbox because my clock is "set incorrectly," and Gmail timestamps messages for the previous timezone. Is there any way I can change my system time?

Re: System clock

I also had the problem with Gmail timestamps, even though my clock displayed the correct time. Try editing the LOCALIZATION section of /etc/rc.conf make sure the HARDWARECLOCK setting is either "localtime" if your bios time is the same as local time or "UTC" if your bios is set to UTC, then of course put the correct timezone for the TIMEZONE setting.

Here's the wiki article on time settings https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Time
