Can not install GRUB2 back

I installed Windows today. Now I just can't install GRUB2 back. I'm typing these from Ubuntu LiveCD, because I can't even access Windows now, only "GRUB 1.5 bash-like prompt thingy". What should I do?

Re: Can not install GRUB2 back

when you say you cannot install, do you get any errors? If so, post them

Actually, I don't know which way to install it. I tried a few different ways, but all failed.

That hardly helps at all. If you have tried something, tell us what you tried and how it didn't work. Without that we would all be just throwing darts in the dark.

I'm sorry. I'm just too nervous. I tried mounting /dev/sd... to /mnt/... in order to grub-install but I failed at mounting because the author of the article (or manual) used a single partition for all, but I have my root, home, boot, etc. partitions separately.
EDIT: I managed to mount the partitions, but the command

chroot /mnt/root/ /bin/bash

returns this error

chroot: failed to run command `/bin/bash': Exec format error

EDIT2: I guess it's because I use a 32-bit LiveCD I'll try 64-bit Arch LiveCD.

Re: Can not install GRUB2 back

The Arch Live CD comes with grub not with grub2. So there's that.

But you can use it to install grub and then later on you can change it to grub2, if you want.
