I remember having an embedded terminal on my desktop when I had my mac, is there anyway to do this on arch?
I have xterm as a terminal right now, and I know you can right click > undecorate and move it to top left or right of screen, but is there anyway to get it to do this automatically at startup?
Thanks.

Are you asking how to autostart some app? What DE are you using?

Depending on your DE/WM (e.g. autostart.sh in Openbox or the ~/.i3/config in i3) you can specify which applications should be run at startup. Then check the manpage for Xterm and see if there are options to launch it the way you want. You also may want to check devilspie.

As a general advice, it is preferable to search for answers in the wiki, google and in earlier forum posts before posting a thread. Here at Arch forums, we believe in self help, especially for simple questions like yours which have been covered ad nauseum.
